Abstrak

This research aims to determine the differences in learning outcomes between the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and conventional learning on static fluid material in class XI SMK 1 Muaro Jambi. The research used a quasi-experimental design with two classes, XI TKJ as the PBL class and XI BDP as the conventional class. The results show that the PBL class experienced a higher increase in score, from 28 to 91, while the conventional class increased from 38 to 79. The N-gain value for the PBL class was 87 (high category), greater than the conventional class of 67 (medium category). The results of the questionnaire also show that students in PBL classes have better scientific attitudes. Thus, the PBL model is proven to be more effective than conventional methods in improving static fluid learning outcomes.
