Abstrak

This study aims to compare the effectiveness of the lecture learning model and the use of PowerPoint (PPT) presentation media on magnetism material in grade XII. The selection of this topic is based on the importance of innovation in learning methods to improve students' understanding of abstract concepts. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The results showed that both the lecture and PPT methods were equally effective in improving student learning outcomes, with an N-Gain value classified as "Quite Effective" (0.72). However, there was no significant difference in students' scientific attitudes between the two groups. These results imply that the selection of learning methods needs to consider student characteristics and learning objectives, as well as the importance of developing students' scientific attitudes. Therefore, teachers need to consider student characteristics and learning objectives in choosing the most appropriate method.
